Android Central Question

After the OTA update to Android 8.0.0 (Oreo) my bluetooth is unuseable. Skips and is choppy. I have changed battery optimazation to exclude my music app (google Music) and the bluetooth app no change.

Happens with locked screen and with it unlocked.

I don't use Google Music, so I have to ask: is that a streaming service, or are the files stored locally? If streaming, please verify that this audio proplem also happens with locally stored files.

I have had a similar issue. I can stream radio (as an example) or play local content from my ipad to any of my bluetooth headphones, but with my HTC 10 8.0 oreo it has recently (last 3-4 weeks) started playing the same content / source only for 10-30 secs and then will not play anylonger.
I wondered it the bluetooth devices were approved by me for my HTC 10 device, but I can't see how to check which devices I have approved.
My headsets are Bose QC30, Plantronics BackBeat Fit. Plantronics UC Legend

Hi Dave,

Did you ever resolve this issue? I'm experiencing the exact same scenario

Thanks
