I ordered mine today. I have seen pics online. Didn't look TOO bad. I wanted the Seidio 1750 to maintain the sleek look of the DInc but I get a 50% accessory discount through my company so....2150 it is.

You won't be disappointed. The bigger form factor actually feels better in your hand then the super slim. (At least it does to me) ;)

From a usage perspective, you will very quickly get used to using the phone the way it was meant to be used and not constantly worrying about battery.

Enjoy!

That's what I'm very excited about. I just watched a couple YouTube vids over WiFi and it is rapidly draining.

I won't get it until later in the week but I can't wait.

Jeez the auto sync drains a ton of battery. I have it off and after almost an hour I'm only down by 4%

I purchased the 2150mah battery months ago for my dinc ,and no more battery worries at all .:D

I can't wait until mine gets in on Wednesday. I feel like a kid at Christmas.

Unplugged for 13 hours and still have 43% of my battery left. With auto sync on and Facebook and peep set up to sync on the shortest interval!!

Based on the current rate of discharge, I should be able to go approximately 20.5 hours before I need to plug up again.

I'm wondering how much more time I would get if I got that battery. With CM7 and Chad's latest kernel, with moderate use (including GPS programs such as navigation and geocaching), I'm getting about 22 hours with an 1800 battery from htcexpress.com. It's a safe assumption I'd get 30+ hours.

Ah man...that's crazy. I'm not rooted though I should since I got this DInc on Craigslist and its not covered by warranty anyway. I bet I would have been fine with my stock battery if I was rooted huh?

But, I definitely recommend this battery!!

Lee - I have the 3500 battery and am running the Stock CM7 Kernel. I get about a day and a 1/4 - 1/2 with "Normal" usage. but I can burn through it in about 12 hours of very heavy usage.

For what it's worth.

@mumfoau - Glad you're liking it!

Thanks! I'm still thinking about rooting but the process intimidates me. LOL

Actually in the stickies at the top of the Incredidble , rooting,Romm's, and Hacks walks you tho it pretty good.Just read it tho a few times tho , and post any question that you think of while reading it .But once you decide to do it you will think "rooting wasnt so tough to do after all", haha.
But dont rush into rooting til you are comtable doing it . For example I made sure I knew how to root and unroot before I ever rooted.
The process use to intimidate me as well so thats normal :)

Only you will know tho when or if you decide to root , Dont be intimidate to feel you have to root .
I use to think I would never root but after having my dinc 4 months(july 2010-dec. 2010) I decided to last dec.Rooting was my christmas present to myself ;)

I have only had mine for a couple weeks (gently used on Craigslist for $100). I still have my X in the drawer but I love Sense so much more than blur.

I'm gonna read up on it then make a decision on rooting. I keep seeing things about different kernels and increased battery life.

Jeez I just learned a lot by reading battery university. Even though I hated charging my 1300 so much, that actually keeps it healthy to partially discharge then recharge. O_O

Well, I am still on my stock OEM battery (unrooted) that came with the phone. On a heavy use day, I can average between 13-18 hours of juice. So I do want to get the 2150 mAh battery. But my concern is a case for the phone. I know that the battery comes with a bigger battery door to fit the new battery. But are there any silicone or hard cover cases to protect the phone from drops? I have a blue hard plastic case around my phone that protected it from a fall off of a 15 foot ladder recently (not a scratch or crack, thank God!). Need to know before I buy.

I can normally get 8-9 hrs out of my stock 1300mAh battery now that I've switched my Twitter and Facebook to never auto-refresh. I'm awaiting my 1500mAh battery to arrive this weekend.

Re: Cases for 2150mAh battery
Try shop.htcpedia.com. Here is an example of some of the hard cases they have for that battery.

Crap...the wife likes words with friends and if I'm gonna play that with her I gotta go back to the 2150mAh hour battery. I just watched my stock drop 10% in 30mins
