HTC Bluetooth audio dongle

Does anyone know if can use this in another room of the house as long as it isn't to far?? Our does it have to be unobstructed?

Bluetooth uses radio frequency and has a range of around 30 feet. It does not require a clear line of sight, but other things might cause interference.
