HTC Desire A8181 with NO INTERNET/WIRELESS connection
hello all,
I'm new to this whole unlocked phone purchasing thing. I had an HTC Aria with AT&T and I broke the screen. So I purchased a HTC Desire A8181 GSM with 2.1 installed
dropped in my SIM card and voila I can make voice calls and text messages.
But I have no internet connection when I am not on wi-fi. NO 3G
or EDGE
When I go to : Setting --> About Phone --> Network... I show AT&T as operator a signal strength and mobile network type as EDGE, service State as in service.
I was able to root it with help The Droid Demos - Best Android App Demos and Tutorials & unrevoked
Do I need to install Froyo 2.2? if so where do I go for that? All help is appreciated. thanks
