A friend (non-geek, computer/phone/any tech) told me yesterday that a VZ rep told them they were getting the Desire HD next month.

This would make sense, since we've heard nothing one way or the other, with VZW's heavy marketing stronghold. I can imagine that they wouldn't want any rain on the Fascinate's parade until x period has expired.

I just hope this has a front-facing camera.

I can`t see the Desire HD coming to Verizon since it has the Thunderbolt. Identical phone minus LTE chip and FF camera. I think the US getting the DHD came in the form of the TB and the Inspire 4G on AT&T since all three phones are basically the same phone.
