HTC Desire HD: Problem with apps on wifi

I bought an HTC Desire HD yesterday and was having no problems with it. The phone cannot detect simcards so I am just using it for wifi and camera purposes. Turns out there was no sd card in it so I can't take photos, so I went looking for where the sd card went. I removed the battery, and ever since I turned it back on I have not been able to get any of my apps to work. My phone connects to wifi and I can go on the internet, but all my apps say "connecting" and "waiting for network". I can't access the market either because it says there's no connection. Is there any way for me to fix this?
