Htc Desire HD software update

Hey guys ! I was wondering if you know anything about Htc desire hd getting ics or jelly bean anytime soon. I know there are options like rooting your ROM memory or something like that but i don't wanna do those things, because i find them dangerous:-\... So... anyone of you heard something about a real update for software ?

HTC backtracked and said that the HD will NOT get an update.

Yeah that is true. CyanogenMod 10.1 unofficial is the best option for jellybean 4.2.2
