HTC Devices - Why the lack of tri-band HSPA?!

It seems to boggle my mind that HTC keeps making such great android devices...but there are always only dual-band HSPA!

I do a lot of travelling to Europe and I would like my phone to be able to get 3G there! Do they not get that EDGE quad-band is useless on a data device? We need the high speed! Why would I get an HTC phone if I can't use data (at decent speeds) outside of North America??!

Does anybody know why HTC might do this? I just can't understand it. I want an HTC Android device with tri-band HSPA (RE: 3G in North America AND Europe!). They are the only manufacturer who does not do this... :(

This excludes the Nexus one. I'm talking about all their new, nice hardware. It's either North America HSPA or Europe HSPA dual-band, never tri-band that works in both. It's kind of frustrating...looking for the logic.
