HTC drive mode question

I listen to Pandora a lot in the car and would like the option to replace the stock music controls with controls for the Pandora app. Is anyone aware of any way to make this happen? I'm a big fan of the speak function and some of the other things that the HTC drive app bring to the table, if I could make this work for me it would be perfect.
