HTC DROID Eris OS 2.1v3 download!!!

Ok. Not working for me but no big deal. The time without a signal bug bothers me the most I think. Was hoping this was fixed. Everything else seems fine though.

I got a dock for my Eris for $18.99 free shipping on eBay last week, its great. Don't search for "dock", search for Eris Charger and scan until you find it. It charges a spare battery as well, sync to a PC, good viewing angle. Only thing I don't like is the bright blue power on light which beams onto my ceiling by my bed, a piece of tape will fix that.:)

Awsome thanks for the info I'll be sure to check it out!

Reinstalled and pinch zoom is working now. Signal bug still there. :'( Seems to be as responsive as leak 2 was. Overall running fine.

What's the signal bug? Just the picture of how many bars are lit up or something else? lol

It's where your phone is searching for a signal. Open settings-about phone-battery-battery use-then click on cell standby. If you see something that says time without a signal you are experiencing it as well. If you are do a search. Its an easy fix.

Ahh, ok thanks mitchell. I am and at this time it's early in the morning and I am at work phone has been off the charger for about 2.5 hours. And it says Time Without Signal is 51%. How do I do a search to fix/correct it?

Another thing I have been experiencing is that it opens a lot of apps in the background for no reason. Maps opens just anytime it wants to along with a couple other things. Apollo Task Killer is a life or should I say battery saver. Lol.

It's what we have referred to as the airplane mode trick. Plug your phone in, turn on airplane mode, put your phone on standby for at least 15 to 20 seconds, take it out of standby, and unplug. You can check your time without a signal a bit after that. Should be 0 or not show up at all.
Sorry I didn't have time to post that earlier.

Perfectly ok, thanks a lot for the information I'll have to try it. Haha I thought you meant do a search for signal on my phone that's why I was confused.

So I think I may have found another bug.. After I updated I obviously lost all of my applications and so toda I search the Android Market for Skype Mobile and I cannot find it. Anyone else have this problem or find a solution?

Did the Airplane Mode fix, went from 58% to 8%. Have had the v3 leak for three days now and have seen no other bugs worth mentioning. Looks like HTC and VZW are getting close.

Ok, found a bit of a bug w/the v3 leak...I had the phone on speaker for a call, after turning it off the speakerphone icon remained on the status bar...a restart fixed it but could be mildly annoying. I also did have one dropped call today but I have crappy signal strength at my house so it could just be that as opposed to a bug. Will keep my eye on it.

I'm still having the problem with my phone very quickly vibrating when I try to place a call. Anyone else having/had this issue?

Yeah, mine does that too. Doesn't really bother me...assuming it'll be fleshed out in the the OTA.

My previous HTC Touch 2 did this upon connecting a call. Some numbers from other carriers take a lil longer to connect vs others. I personally like the connection conformation.

Yea hopefully it will be flashed out and I'm hoping that's soon lol. Haven't noticed the connection difference between carriers tho.

Is anyone having the problem where it opens a bunch of applications in the background randomly? Usually like Maps, Amazon MP3 Store., settings etc. Opens them all the time for me..

This is pretty much the same for 1.5, if you were paying attention. If you ignore those apps Android will cache them and make them inactive, releasing their RAM and CPU resources. If you kill them and then they restart, then they start taking those resources again until they go inactive.

I'm using the Leak v3 and haven't had any problems with the exception of a couple of games force closing, but it could have been the games themselves.

I also have a confession to make...

I thought I was loading the rooted ROM but I downloaded both the original root and original leak on my PC, and loaded the wrong one. Oops, but the v3 one came out and no bugs or probs, short of what I already mentioned.

edit: This new leak also fixed a problem I was having with Compass apps, and Google sky getting all turned around.
