HTC Droid Incredible

Opinions please....I am Thinking about getting a HTC Droid Incredible and wondering if I would be happy with it or is it too out dated now...or will it be "extinct" soon?

Welcome to Android Central! It really depends on what you want to use the phone for. If you just need to make calls, do some light web surfing, and maybe play a few simple games like Angry Birds, it should be fine. If you want to run the latest processor-intensive games or use the latest Android system versions (Incredible stopped at Gingerbread, although you can root it and get Ice Cream Sandwich, I think), then look for something more recent. To answer your question, the phone is essentially extinct.

The DInc was my entry into Android. Even got it on launch day. Although I've moved on, I gave the phone to a friend and he's been using it happily for the past couple of years. Another guy in my office also has one.

All that said, I think there are other better inexpensive choices.

Thanks for the replies, I will mostly use it for light surfing and pics....just regular stuff. What other inexpensive smartphones would be better?

I LOVED my OG DInc and DInc 2! The OG DInc was my first android phone and made me a believer that there was something other than "crapple" that was just as good as anything iOS. I suggest the DInc 4G for you. Its a great phone, cheap and powerful enough to do what you want. Although I upgraded to the DNA and it is a really great phone, I find myself wishing I had just stayed with the DInc 2. I sold it on Gazelle sadly.
