HTC EVO 4G LTE Accessories

No, I had the Active case as seen below. Later I had the one that was the surface case inside an active case but the surface case would just ruin my screen protector. No way to get the phone into the case without it catching on the protector.

The Otterbox case I have is similar in design and has its own problems. It had a flap covering up the ports on the bottom that I ended up cutting off after a couple of days. The silicone part doesn't fit the phone as well as the Seidio case but the plastic shell has not fallen apart.

OK, missed that. I only had their surface case. Now you have me wondering why too. ;-)

Ah, the surface case, that would have been the one that screwed up my original EVOs edges...Let's the phone move to much inside the case.

Hello, Thanks for your interest in our cases! We had only a few cases that had a rubbing issue from the first batch, but the subsequent ones were corrected and fits snuggly. We do test with production devices to ensure the fit and finish is up to our standards.

Why would they add a kickstand instead of just leavin a slot open for the factory one? That's what they did on their EVO case which I really liked. What I didn't like is that the corners would break off and you had to replace the whole case. I switched to the Otterbox version and it is slightly better.

I may actually go caseless on the EVOLT. At least for a while.

We actually have improved the strength of our plastic to make it tougher and yet flexible, you shouldn't see that issue with the newest ACTIVE cases.

Thanks for the reply! Could you answer the question on why a separate kickstand for the Active instead of a slot for the one on the phone?

My wife and I both have OG Evos: She got an Otter box, and I got the Seidio. I noticed with her case, because silicon is outside the plastic shell and thinner, it ended up stretching over a short period (less than 3 months) to the point that it was very easy to dislodge.

My Seidio case is still as snug as the day I got it about a year and a half ago.

I'm planning and getting the EVO LTE when it launches, and will be getting another Seidio case for it.

See I've noticed that it stretched a bit too, but nothing that makes the case unuseable or not protected, or even annoying. Will do an OtterBox or maybe a ballistic if they come out with one.

The separate kickstand on the ACTIVE is designed to prevent the device from being off-balanced. Since the ACTIVE case adds two more layers of protection, it is best to use the balanced kickstand! :D

I probably won't be testing that claim out. When my other one broke there was no option to just buy the plastic part and I wasn't going to buy another whole setup just to replace one part that was still inferior. If I do get a case for the new one, Otterbox will probably get my business again.

I'm with this guy...Got nowhere when contacting Sedio about a problem with my case...Otterbox got back to be about a broken clip sent me one in 3 days. Otterbox wins...Customer Service is everything nowadays.

Speaking of, Otterbox contacted me with no ETA but to signup for email alerts to know when it is released. Soon is what they said.

Then why didn't you put the kickstand in the middle which would give the most stability? Also, does it work the other way around so you can plug in the USB cable?

I purchased a lot of cases, holsters, extended batteries, and car kits from Seidio for my Treo 600, Treo 700p, Palm Pre, and EVO 4G and my experience with their products and Customer Support has always been great. There were times when I had issues with the car kit and the cases, but Seidio was able to replace them with a working/better version right away. I plan to to buy more accessories from them for my upcoming EVO 4G LTE. :)

Totally missed this...I guess when I complained about the issue it should have been handled appropriately then and I would've returned for more business.

I think this might be the closet thread to my question and I didn't want to start another thread for something so small and probably a stupid question. Since its Beats audio, would my beats I have at home perform any better? Would the bass, treble, all that be better or no difference than using then on my Epic Touch right now?

Supposedly the Beats software will recognize Beats headphones and provide improved sound over regular headphones...

Whoever told you this or wherever you read it, it's complete and utter B.S.

My Sprint store has 30 in stock but won't sell until the official launch. I asked if i could buy one since my phone will be here tomorrow and they said "Hell No". So i guess i'm going unprotected for a week, scary! (frame houses)

I went ahead and put an order for Diztronic TPU Matte black case for my EVO, and now am waiting for Spigen to start selling Steinheil ultra clear screen protector. Other than that, I'll wait to get my phone before buying an SD card, a car charger and any other accessories.
