This is a nightly build. In other words it is HIGHLY EXPERIMENTAL.

Standard development cycle:
Nightly <-- You are here
Alpha
Beta
Release Candidate
Official

It is very promising, and for some stable, but it contains a lot of bugs still. Use with caution

Its no sense but it feels so much smoother and fast and for nightly build its amazingly stable which is suprising

Yeah, I'm not having many complaints, but there are limitations still.

4G and HDMI aren't working at all currently, and the camera is still wonky.

Works Really Well... Has a Sense Feel because of ADWlauncher

All you need is Beautiful Widgets Clock/Weather Widget and your good...

Very Fast and pretty Stable considering its a nightly...

Yea but if ur camera says does not conmect just use advance task killer and it works again and I have no 4g aa of yet so no biggy

Given the stability of the nightly I think I'm gonna wait until at least the Alpha. I don't have the time to spend flashing and reflashing and troubleshooting if something goes wrong.

I really wanna jump on this, though.

Here's a question for you guys...do you think this ROM will be better than when HTC releases the official Froyo update for the EVO? What would the advantages be (and I don't consider not having Sense as an advantage, I actually kinda like Sense) of Cyanogen over stock (HTC) froyo?

Advantage: you can use Wiimote, Bluetooth keyboard & mouse, HDMI True out showing your whole screen... Less Bloat on the OS in General... *Sense really slows things down* Super Fast Just all all around clean quick system

Disadvantage: I like Sense, No Sense integration like widgets and such...
Thats about it...

Its very Stable considering its only in Nightly... Im having Fun :)

You can replace most of the widgets, though, right? I know there are various options but they might not be quite as functional or pretty. My only other question is what about facebook integration? I don't care about the little notifications about status updates but does Froyo integrate the contacts with my address book?

The only real Widgets i miss are the Main Clock W/ Weather and the peoples Scrollable widget...

The Clock w/ Weather can easily be replaced with "Fancy Widget" Which was Taken down just search some and you will find it...

The Scrollable People Widget is a little harder... :(

Doesn't the paid version of launcher pro have a scrollable people widget? Beautiful widgets would work for the sense clock. It doesn't have to be exactly the same for me but I love having clock + weather on my main home screen.

The way the nightly build is improving maybe in a couple of days the main/big bugs will be gone.

The new launcher pro paid version has a scrollable people widget that I LOVE! I think it's just about the same as the HTC one but I stopped using sense after maybe 2 weeks of use so I don't quite remember everything it does but launcher pro's widget is great!

edit: I loaded sense back up and launcher pro's people widget is much better imo. give it a try!

Apparently the spelling checker in Touch Input is not implemented yet. Just kidding.

I am tempted, but I really like Sense and need a stable phone. If HTC doesn't have a Froyo build by October, I may try this.

Cyanogen Nightly = Vista Release Candidate. haha
I have a feeling the Alpha will rival any of the other great ROMs around.
I'm on baked snacks and plan on staying here until this ROM is a bit more refined.
