That's not entirely out of the question. My only beef is if they play that game they shouldn't make us wait so long to get a n3w phone.

HTC would seem to have a strong incentive to work on getting GB released on the TBolt before the Bionic is finally available so they can minimize the drop in TBolt sales they will otherwise experience in favor of a Bionic with GB, etc. HTC has not ignored the TBolt -- it has already received two OTA updates in only four months. The TBolt is getting better all the time and just got Netflix yesterday. If the TBolt gets GB and Skype Video soon, it might just hold up fairly well against the Bionic in view of the likely higher initial cost for the Bionic.

Even with GB, I'd expect sales to still drop off. The average customer is going to go "ooooh new Droid, I want it." "oooh I don't know what dual core is but I want it".
