HTC glass sucks!!!!

Seeing the TBolt listed on the Gorilla Glass product page mean nothing to me since the Incredible is also listed and my fiancee already has a few scratches from her earrings. But again, why would anyone be comforted by this seeing as how were discussing it because of a busted display in the first place?

Assuming you fianc?e wears diamond earrings occasionally (what woman doesn't own a pair, some guys too) and diamonds are the hardest natural substance known to mankind, this should not come as a surprise. :)

This wasn't posted to comfort anyone. No glass is going to protect from scratches or busting 100%. The OP stated that he thought the HTC glass used in the TBolt was inferior to Gorilla Glass, just wanted to clarify that HTC used Gorilla Glass in the TBolt. Hence, no glass (including Gorilla Glass) is going to protect 100%. Especially during a drop.

Just so everyone can see the link I'm posting it again.

Gorilla Glass is used on these devices.

No where will you find any documentation from Corning that gorilla glass is scratch PROOF or shatter PROOF. Just resistant.

I've seen a thread like this for every phone that has been released. And before it turns into an argument about screen protectors let's take a step back and breathe. Ok, ready?

Using a screen protector is a personal choice. If you want to argue the merits of it feel free to start a thread in the accessories section.

But THIS thread is about gorilla glass on the Thunderbolt (and the OP's screen shattering because it landed the perfect way to stress it into cracking/shattering).
