Htc hero

Hi I was wondering if anyone could help me. I purchased the HTC Hero and had it unlocked. I have T-Mobile. I put in the internet configurations and it works, but it will not connect to 3g network. Does anyone know how to change this or if I might have put in the wrong settings??? Please Help Thanks

That doesn't have 3G in the US. It will only get EDGE. T Mobile doesn't use the same frequencies as the other carriers.
