How can you track your HTC inspire when lost or stolen and do your sin card have to be in to track it

Log onto market.android.com using a pc, and the app "plan b". Then log in using your gmail and you should be able to install it to your phone, and get emails with GPS coordinates sent to your gmail.

and Lookout security has a locate feature. Same thing as plan B but you should have their free anitvirus on your phone anyway, right?

I have never heard of an Android virus, but malware is around so I think Lookout is a good thing to have installed for that reason.

I tried working with the HTC sense thing and IMHO it sucks. I have been using seek droid for the past year. It is far and above the best there is. It locates your phone to within 6ft. and can even give you the google streetview of where it should be. It can also remotely turn your gps on if it is off. It has all the usual things as well, remote wipe, lock blah blah, and the sim card doesn't need to be installed to my understanding. the donate version is well worth it at $5.

hey i got a htc vivid and its not letting me track it someone stole it and there is no way i can find out where it is cause its not letting download plan b to my phone from the computer. someone please help me

for example, how can i track my mobile phone if is stolen, my mobile EMEI is 358920045632368

You have to get at&t to do something about it but all their going to do is hook you up with the insurance so either way its gonna cost you $$$ unless you put tracking apps on it before it was stolen not so much other than that you basically have to hack at&t which will land you in jail if caught not worth it

sent from my one x+ if i helped you out hit that thanks button ;)

Most likely they used a different gmail if they did it won't do **** unless you simply list it somehow and it ran out of juice
