Htc m8 lollipop update

All my friends that have the same htc m8 have the new update (lollipop 5.0.1) except me im still running on (4.0.2) and when i check for updates it tells me ur phone is up to date . Plz help

Welcome to Android Central! Are you all on the same carrier? Did you get your phone from your carrier, or was it an unlocked phone from an independent seller? Was it a phone intended for a different carrier?

My phone is still locked and i think we all have the same carrier . But can u give me info about how can i find the carrier of my phone ? So i can make sure abt of we all have the same carrier

Just ask your friends who also have the M8 which carrier they use (Verizon, AT&T, etc.). And which one do you use?

Honnestly i bought my phone from a random cell shop and i dont know the carrier . Is there any way to find what carrier ?

I assume you're asking if there's any way to find out if the phone itself was originally sold through a carrier vs being an unlocked phone. I assume there isn't any carrier branding on the outside of the phone, or a carrier logo when you first power on the phone, correct?

Show us a screenshot of the Settings>About Phone menu. What's the exact model number and firmware build version?

OK, once again, I think I was looking for the wrong data. The CID is probably what's important, since it's the Carrier ID. See this article to learn how to access it: How to identify CID and MID number on HTC phones, including HTC One M8 | AndroMods

I too just bought M8 Yesterday and it has the following

Model ID - 0P6B670
M8_UL

But still in 4.4 no sign of getting the OTA Lolipop update. Any Help????
