HTC M8 Stuck in Safe Mode

[Android Central Question]

Some liquid got in my HTC M8 earlier and it kept saying no SIM card, but it isn't any more after I turned it off and let it dry out for a few hours. Now I can't get it out of safe mode. I hard restarted and soft restarted several times but they didn't change it; safe mode won't turn off. Help!
