My GOD! Nobody ever brings it up and I was wondering the same thing. I just didn't want to be the first one to ask about it.

Apparently you can remove Blinkfeed by restoring Nova launcher I received the One today and during the process of reinstalling Nova launcher and using HTC transfer app to move data between the Nexus 4 and the One, Blinkfeed got removed

So the answer is no it cannot be removed, just don't look at it.

There is a way to remove blinkfeed from sense If you are rooted.

I use both Blinkfeed and Flipboard. But I always seen to hit BF first. And your right, FB just isn't the same.

So I want my calendar on my Blink Feed but nothing else. Right now I still have 2 other default blue boxes. Is there anyway to just have one feed, that will pull my calendar and to get rid of the other 2 default feeds that are blank?

I find FP 100% better then blink.... but use both-
