HTC One Camera Constantly out of focus?

Q. How is forcing it to focus going to make it behave properly after you put it back together if it was malfunctioning in AUTO focus?
A..Explain yourself how is that your autofocus don't work anymore?
Three weeks and no problem, of course you have to fix the focus with some glue again.

Try and post after, you will see how it works.

I'm sorry but that tells me you don't know what you did, that you just started tinkering around under the hood and miraculously the car started. I do that often with my car but it doesn't happen often enough for me to take my phone apart without ordering a new camera for $20.

Final solution, You must dissasembly the smartphone, remove carefully the glue in camera, View attachment 216731 .
Then with a tweezer you must adjust the focus manually (as in webcams), until you get sharp picture, turn it clockwise first then adjust, maybe it works on other smartphones too.

So Fybnx, explain further. Are you saying the glue over time spilled over it's intended area and got in the way if the focusing mechanics? Did HTC just put in two much glue? In trying to figure out how you got "lucky" if indeed you did. Maybe you didn't really have the same problem I do. I'm tempted to try your trick if it's just some extra glue in there sticking things up. Seems plausible because it is like it starts to focus, gets stuck(on some glue?) then vibrates forever. I just hate taking my phones apart. I can do it but I always end up breaking or just bending something. It will give me an excuse to get a new housing set though and make it brand new again.
