HTC One Camera Pictures: Show us what you got :D

Re: HTC One Camera Pictures : Show us what you got :D

camera on that sucks...

Re: HTC One Camera Pictures : Show us what you got :D

I don't have the HTC One, but I do have to try and sell them. :)

I think most people are so conditioned to hearing about and comparing cameras by megapixels, so trying to explain HTC's UltraPixel technology is going to be a challenge. How do I tell someone this phone has an UltraPixel camera - which doesn't actually state it's megapixel equivalent (it's actually rated at 4MP) - when the Galaxy S4 has a 13MP camera and expect them to be excited about it?

If the people who are posting their pictures here can help me out with this I'd greatly appreciate it!!

If I were you I'd look for an analogy to explain it. Maybe something like cores in a pc. A 1 ghz dual core vs a 2 ghz single core processor. Obviously think of something better but you get the idea.

Just have to tell them that 1) sensor size is the most important factor and it has the same sensor size 2) larger pixels help low light photos and the One has larger pixels 3) that the extra megapixels result in more processing power and storage requirements and are not necessary to get great pictures 4) that because the HTC One only has to push 4mp vs. 13mp it can be much faster, responsive, and do neat things, like zoe, plus transfer, store and move the files faster with less data 5) that also the HTC One has Optical Image Stabilization that further helps low light shots, and 6) HTC One has f2 (faster) lens that further helps low light..........

Re: HTC One Camera Pictures : Show us what you got :D

Anyone know why when I take pictures with my One they look sharp and bright when capturing them but when I go to view them they are way darker? Any help/tips?

I found when I tried to force the one to use a lower ISO the pictures did this. When I gave up and let it use higher ISOs the pics were not as dark. Funny, but using ISO 100 sometimes the pics were too dark. Set the ISO to Auto and I thought it was going to take shots at like 1200 and such. But actually was really good. Using ISO like 117. Just enough to make the photos not quite as dark, but not too high.

Wow....really impressed with a lot of these shots!!!

Man....super disappointed with the quality of these images compared to my iphone 4s. Compared my own pics in store next to the One and was still not impressed. Too bad. Need a better option that this. The galaxy s4 isn't even an option. I MISS ANDROID!

Instead of the cpu comparison try this. Compare a megapixel to a small hole punched in paper and an ultrapixel as a large hole. With the small hole you have to pack in more holes to get a decent picture. But you are reducing the quality and light intake the more you pack into the camera sensor. But with a larger hole you will get more light and less noise and still retain awesome image quality.

I guess most HTC One owners are dog people? :p

Re: HTC One Camera Pictures : Show us what you got :D

Great sequence shot. To do this use continuous shots , that is hold shutter button until motion finished. Don't move camera. Keep it still. Then hit back key to say all shots. Then gallery, photo, edit, retouch, action and select the frames to be combined. And voila.

You can do the same using Zoe mode as well.
