The first pic I took when I got home from the Verizon store! There were two sets of grasshoppers with their offspring on their backs, but this was the only one staying still long enough to allow me to play with the camera lol. It has the auto enhance effect

What pictures are fake then? I've just had a look at your comment history and you seem to spend a lot of time posting negative comments about the HTC one (why do you spend so much time on forums for a phone you hate I wonder). The HTC one camera is perfectly functional for a camera phone. ZOEs can be useful and images look great on the phone screen. People that feel they need more megapixels should buy a different phone. I used to have a Galaxy S2, but I realised if I ever needed spectacular photos I used a proper camera anyway. The HTC one camera offers something different. This gives consumers choice. Choice is a good thing. If you don't like the camera, choose a different phone. That's the beauty of Android.

You can tell some of those were really taken by an HTC ONE, and some were not.

Many HTC salesmen here posting fake pictures to say the HTC ONE's camera is good. Which it isn't.

Since you have the ability to find fake pictures, why don't you point them out?

I would love to know which pictures you think are fake. I've seen most, if not all the pictures in this thread and I can't think of a time when I thought "man, my phone could never take that picture".

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and detail that came out, especially being in a moving vehicle with constant lighting changes. This was stock everything, no filters or scenes changes

One week with my Verizon HTC One, and I love it, but am disappointed with the camera. All of the independent reviews I read online showed One photos compared with the S4 or iPhone 5 show that the level of detail is relatively comparable. The One competes well even with only 4mp.

Compared to my wife's S3, the level of detail of the One's photos don't rally come close. Even my 3 year old Droid X set to 3mp has better detail and the One's photos.

I am wondering if there is something wrong with my One. I have attached samples, so please let e know if I am missing something or if this is just the way the One is.

Glad that's behind us, because as a Nexus 4 user with a "meh" camera, I enjoy spending my time in this thread enjoying most of your terrific photos.

I borrowed a friends new HTC one to compare with mine. Here are two 100%c crops taken with both phones set to default setting.
