HTC One cannot be turned on...

I had followed the instructions in this page to root my HTC One.

The rooting process is successful, but perhaps because I updated the Android system to 4.3 halfway through step 22 to use the newer SuperSU, the recovery of the backup is ultimately unsuccessful as the phone crashes and restarts when attempting to restore using adb on my laptop.

In spite of that, I redownloaded everything and continued to use it as normal. (Losing that app data is very sad tho.) Everything is working as normal, I have superuser access and all that.

4 days later while watching a video, my HTC One froze and while sound continued as normal, the app and even phone is unresponsive. Home button doesn't work and a moment later the phone turned itself off.

Disaster struck. In addition to not being able to be turned on the normal way, there is no LED light from charging and when connected to my laptop, the phone now shows itself under Device Manager as qhsusb_dload (or Qualcomm High Speed USB Download mode)

Is there any way to fix my phone back into a working state? Any response greatly appreciated.

qhsusb_dload Usally means a hardbrick. Its very odd that watching a video hardbricked your phone. Flashing firmware or a hboot and something like that can cause a brick. what carrier are you on?

I know of this ..Unlimited.IO but the one is not supported. Have you searched xda

According to HTC variants image, mine would be under the Singapore market.

The only working solution I have seen on xda is to hold power button or some other combination of it for a couple of minutes. I have been trying that every now and then to no avail.

I do believe its bricked, Let me tell you i do know the feeling and its been then once for me

You could JTAG it, but its quite expensive... So you were watching a video and it just froze like that out of nowhere?
