Interesting. I didn't see your response because I was away from the computer all day therefore I wasn't able to call and confirm. Thanks for the heads up though. I did however receive a confirmation email. The interesting part of that is the shipping date. If that's true I'm going to crap myself!

Don't just rely on the email, go check the website. If you see a shipping date, which it sounds like you do, then you should be fine. Mine and at least one other person's said that customer action was required. I had to call in to validate I was who I said I was. I also needed to call to get the device shipped to an address that wasn't my billing address.

Just placed my order. I got a "Customer Contact Required" message, but my card didn't have any fraud alerts on it. They must need identity verification, I figure. They're closed now, so I'll call tomorrow morning.

I got my customer contact required as soon as I got my confirmation email from HTC after ordering and clicking on the order status link they gave me.

EDIT. My order status magically changed while I was asleep. No customer contact required new. All seems to be good.

It isn't an active notification. You have to click the link in e confirmation email and see what your order status is.

Some people needed to call them and other didn't. When I ordered mine it said that then like 15min later it went away and moved on to the next workflow status. Just to be sure, use the contact info in the order confirmation email you should have gotten to call them.

I ordered mine 16 hours ago and still have the Customer contact required.. I guess I'm just going to call them, thanks for the info

Yeah I would call them. I believe it was just to confirm authorization. I think letstalk is automatically flagged for review by our banks so they most likely just need to you call to give the verbal OK. Good luck.
