HTC one - electronic voice...

Every time I get an incoming call, before my ringtone, there's an electronic voice that says "Call From" so-and so. Is there a way to turn this off?

Unless this is something specific to your carrier this sounds like an app you downloaded. I have Sprint and don't get that before the ringer.

Any idea..which type of app would do this?

Have you perhaps downloaded a caller ID app? My only other guess would be an app that organizes your contacts.

Found the probable culprit. Go to Settings - Accessibility - Services - Talkback. Disable it completely or go into settings and disable caller ID.
