HTC One - Just received htc one replacement...

Re: Just received htc one replacement...

You Could try touching it up with a marker. Might work. I remember having an HTC Rezound when I was with Verizon. Had same issue. Looked like they missed a spot on the black. Light coming through. I would try a permanent black marker. Just dab it small. Then put a screen protector on the phone. Not sure how the marker will hold up on a glass surface.

Heres another issue,i think. On my original One looking at the screen where it meets the speaker grill you can feel the edge of the grill because its sitting i guess a lil raised more than the glass, this is for bottom an top. Its not a huge edge at all, seems perfect. Now on the replacement if i run my finger from the glass onto the grill theres no sign of an edge, its as if the screen is a lil higher or the grille is more caved in. Which way is the normal way? To feel the edge of the speaker grill or not to feel it? Im worried if the glass is higher than the grill, dust can get under the screen. On my original,i can run my finger nail upwards an downwards an on both sides the grill stops me. Anyone got a clue?

I had several HTC One replacements. My first couple did have the glass slightly higher on the top left of the phone. You can feel the edge. Rest of the phone was flush and even. But 2 out my 3 were like that. My third is even all around. But the other 2 were so slight, it didn't bother me. It really didn't bother me because it was glued tight and I always put a screen protector and a case on my phone. The protector adds a little lip anyway. So if yours is a little raised I wouldn't worry about it. I don't think any dust will get under it. I had one like that for a month with no issues. As long as it's working fine with no hardware issues, I would keep it. Any luck you get another replacement and it will have other issues.

Well the verdict is in.......i kept the htc one! My first original One had the purple tint which made me mad, just like alot of others who had the same problem. So i called an got a replacement an it had screen light bleed at the bottom left of the home key on the black bar (which was small) but the camera was perfect,no purple BS at all.. Sooooo i requested another replacement while still having my original One an 1st replacement. Hoping the 2nd replacement had no screen bleed or gaps on the edges i turned it on an camera was horrible so i ended up keeping the 1st replacement. Even though it has a small spec of light bleed an one minor gap on the edge by speaker grille i decided to just roll with it cause i might not get another fully working properly. The camera has held up so far so good!

Oh it also rattles if i tap the back off it,small tiny rattle. I read some others had issues on this as well. As long as it doesnt affect my usage on the phone daily then cool...
