Re: Just received htc one replacement...
Heres another issue,i think. On my original One looking at the screen where it meets the speaker grill you can feel the edge of the grill because its sitting i guess a lil raised more than the glass, this is for bottom an top. Its not a huge edge at all, seems perfect. Now on the replacement if i run my finger from the glass onto the grill theres no sign of an edge, its as if the screen is a lil higher or the grille is more caved in. Which way is the normal way? To feel the edge of the speaker grill or not to feel it? Im worried if the glass is higher than the grill, dust can get under the screen. On my original,i can run my finger nail upwards an downwards an on both sides the grill stops me. Anyone got a clue?
You Could try touching it up with a marker. Might work. I remember having an HTC Rezound when I was with Verizon. Had same issue. Looked like they missed a spot on the black. Light coming through. I would try a permanent black marker. Just dab it small. Then put a screen protector on the phone. Not sure how the marker will hold up on a glass surface.
