HTC One Lag problems

Not necessarily.

Depends on how they have power saver set up.

I know this thread is old, but I just want to share with you that the lag on our HTC one is not the phone its just android that is not optimized. I notice lag during normal times with sufficient resources. It is driving me crazy.

Just throwing this out there. I have an HTC One V and at first it was great...then the lag started and got so bad it was almost unusable. Did all the tricks, everything on this site and then some...clearing it out, rooting and re-loading etc...etc. Some things helped a little of course like they would on any device. BUT I finally figured out what was the root cause for the lag. Google Hangouts! the phone shipped with Google Talk, which is now outdated and as soon as you do your first round of updates it gets changed to Hangouts. Uninstall that and let it go back to Google talk, then set to NOT update that app. Problem solved! Games actually work again.
