Hi, I am just a novice android user. I've had this HTC One M7 for a few months. Got it from a friend who had used it for about 6 months.

All was well till i got a message on the home screen that a newer version of OS is available for download. I clicked. It took a few hours, but now I had a newer looking android version 5.13.599.101

All was well till a couple of days ago when for no apparent reason, the phone became extremely slow. I restarted it, but it was now stuck on the boot screen. After waiting for a few minutes, I tried to restart. Now it is stuck in the Fastboot screen.HTC One FastBoot.jpg

Have tried Recovery. The phone flashed the android logo screen, then goes blank. On pressing power button for a few seconds this screen appears:
HTC One Error.jpg

And nothing afterwards.

I use my phone for work and am completely disconnected. Somebody please help!

- Haroon.

That screen with the triangle is the stock recovery. When you get to it press and hold the vol up and down together and you should enter a screen with options to clear the cache or do a factory reset. Clear the cache and see if that helps. you might need to do a hard reset
