Dear Forumers,

I know it will sound ridiculously had worst experience fixing my phone 6 months in repair. I already bought Lumia 930.

Anyway phone came back today. I saw update for 630 megs downloaded it but cant install it. Phone is rooted and has CCW recovery on it. NOTHING was changed, still stock htc rom never modified apart from rooting.

Once I try to install update it will say entering recovery then once in revert install aborts and reboots phone. Anyone knows how to get this working?

One of the first things an update checks is whether the phone is rooted. If there are any signs of rooting (even if you unrooted, but some garbage still remains), the update aborts. Updating a rooted phone can brick it (depending on what you did while it was rooted.)

You can try unrooting, then updating. If that doesn't work you'll have to flash the stock ROM to update it, then root the update if you still want a rooted phone. (And do that for every update in the future.)
