Hi everybody!

Apps on my HTC One are having a hard time using the mic for much anything. But on some apps like Google Now I can use the "OK Google" command and it will recognize that I did, but then it wont hear me while trying to do a search.

If this was a bad explanation I'm sorry but I'd really appreciate the help!

Welcome to Android Central! Apps might use different mics for their functions. For example, if you call someone on speakerphone, it may switch to using the secondary mic, rather than the primary phone mic. So if a caller can't be heard on a normal call, but then can be heard when the caller switches to speakerphone, that suggests the phone mic is faulty, while the speakerphone is transmitting the caller's voice successfully due to its use of the secondary mic. Have you noticed anything like this?

To be honest, I can't quite explain why the phone can hear you say "Ok Google," but then can't understand what you subsequently say, unless "Ok Google" is detected by one mic, while the subsequent listening for a command is done by another.

I haven't noticed anything like that.

When I try to record things in Sound Recorder the app crashes.

I just recently reinstalled cyanogenmod if that might account for anything. The problem wasn't there before I reinstalled cyanogen.
