Hey guys,
I'm loving my new M8, except this dang battery. I've had it off charge for just over an hour and I've already lost 30% of my battery. I've done a hard reset and installed Gsam battery monitor and for the life of me can't figure out what's murdering my battery. I played a game for a few mins and the rest of the time was spent on this website trying to diagnose the problem. I already deleted the game and the battery is still dropping an average of 1% every 2 1/2 minutes no matter what I do. GPS is off ,mobile data is off (on WiFi) and auto sync is off with the screen set to midways. Please help

Was gonna post screen shots but can't quite figure out how?

I had a drainage problem, how I resolved it was to factory reset and then install one app at a time once a day...this helped me to determine the rouge app that was draining the battery...appartelty there are reports that the recent versions of Skype don't work well with 4.4.3 and can causew adverse battery drain

Thank you for the quick reply. I don't actually have Skype on this phone (I prefer tango) but I am becoming increasingly suspicious of CM Security and battery doctor, I wonder if anyone has had problems with either of these?

Have you tried going on Google.com and typing "how to make a screenshot with htc one M8"?. The first result should be what you're looking for.
On a different note, you should check if the phone has the energy saving feature active, if you're syncing content too often (emails, blinkfeed and whatnot), if you're running the screen on max brightness, if any of your installed apps prevent the phone from going idle when you're not using it or if you're using a live wallpaper. Once you manage to post some screenshots from GSAM hopefully some people can take a look an provide some advice.

So you're running battery doctor? It is a common thing to experience worse life with a battery management app than without. It sounds like you're aware of the things that drain power, you don't need an app to do it.
Also check apps like Facebook manually for their sync settings. Some like to sneak auto sync features past the system auto sync.
