HTC One M8 battery problems - similar?

Love this phone but found the battery started running down quickly after 11mo.

Replaced the battery but problem persisted. If I don't use battery saver, its down 50% in 4 hours, without much use.

Tried reinstalling the OS, but this didn't help, don't have many apps running, except Antivirus Avast.

Have other HTC one M8 users had the same problem? How long does your battery last?

Welcome to Android Central! My wife's old M8 did have noticeably worse battery life after a little over a year. Not sure how widespread this is, though.

Try disabling all of the google bloatware like google newstand, did wonders for my battery life. Also only have wifi on when you need it.

Go into the apps section in settings, then on the all tab scroll down into the app and click disable.

Using nova launcher, seemed to have helped mine.... I have a few apps that I dont know if It is needed or not...
