HTC one M8 charge

Hi all!

When my HTC one m8 charges over night and i remove the charger the phone doesn't recognise that the charger has been removed and still says charging and the light stays on........Any fixes or ideas?

One time thing or has it happened multiple times? Have you restarted if it's only this one time?
