Re: M8 Compared with the M7

Did they use the same size battery as the one in the m7? If that's the case, that won't hold up for squat. I'm tired of phones being touted as having a full days use worth of battery at 8 hours. Who's day ends exactly 8 hours in? I work then come home, work out, errands, maybe eat dinner out, hand with friends, who knows. Looks good but as others have said, such a tall phone for the screen size. (Remove the damn black bar!!!) And I'm really disappointed they didn't put a larger battery in there. HTCs engineers hmm...

Well technically they did increase the battery by 300 mah

Re: M8 Compared with the M7

source? Didn't see that in unboxing

The launch kits for the floor and the two my reps got for work phones came with headphones. I didn't open a retail package because obviously I can't sell them yet. I'll check again tomorrow.

Re: M8 Compared with the M7

M8 looks like a definite improvement over the M7. Glad to see that Verizon is FINALLY getting something first. They killed me waiting for the Iphone. Maybe their philosophy has changed. Hope HTC can combat the advertising of Samsung. The M8 has everything I like in a phone. Good luck to them. I'll be at Verizon at 1 today.

Re: M8 Compared with the M7

Verizon only? Not a chance, friends don't let friends have limited data.

Τhey use a 2600mAh battery compared to the 2300 and also the new processor is less demanding. So battery life will be improved compared to M7.
Well 8 hours screen time probably. If you use your phone for 8 hours in a day then you have a lot of free time, but each to its own.
My phone lasts around 1,5 day but I have a screen time of about 2-3 hours.
There will be phones with better battery life for sure.

Re: M8 Compared with the M7

I guess that was a Beats advertisement for the most part with the old One, our was that the Rezound.. It is surprising that they didn't at least include some cheap pair.. I guess they figure everyone has them by now.

The Note III doesn't come with Headphones either.

Re: M8 Compared with the M7

Indeed, I saw a comparison shot with the Note 3 and it's almost as tall!
All because of that big... Black... Bar 😋

Very tall phone, one thing that annoys me is how big it simply is and yet for whatever reason they barely improved the battery capacity.
Also noticed he didn't talk about how large the Storage was, would be nice to have confirmation if it is indeed 16GB or not.

This is a deal breaker along with the camera. Stupid bezel.

Re: M8 Compared with the M7

I don't like it nearly as much as I do the original. Will save final judgement for when I get my hands on it though.

I am turned off by the difference in size as well. Hopefully it is not as noticeable in my hands

Re: M8 Compared with the M7

Imo, the M8 feels more smooth and solid. Doesn't feel as big as it looks. Coming from an M7 you can take that to the bank.. ;)
