Hi All!

Having real problems with phone being full and lagging.

Tried several times to take voice notes and video's off via my desktop computer. When I plug-in my USB lead, it accesses the phone but when I try and access the folder, takes ages and/or appears blank. I bought a new lead see if that may be the issue, this new lead constantly makes a detected sound of and on and won't access on my computer, wWindows 11 but it was only a Poundland lead.

Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Welcome to Android Central forums. Sounds like your Poundtown cable is only a charger and not a data cable. This means they reduced the cost by not putting in so many connections. You need to either go back to your old cable or get a new one and pay a bit more than quid. Not sure of labeling requirements there but you need a cable that says "transfer" or "data", something that indicates it's more than a charging cable.

Your old cable is probably OK it sounds like. If your PC sees the phone but doesn't show any folders or files B. Diddy is probably correct in that you need to properly set your USB connection type. To do this on your Samsung phone, connect both ends of the USB, verify your PC sees your phone by opening File Explorer and looking at This PC for the name of your phone, (don't try to open this folder yet), go to the phone pull down your notification shade, find the notification for your USB connection and open this, you will find several options, choose one of the transfer types that matches the type of transfer you are attempting.

Use your old cable
Set your transfer settings on the phone
Move smaller packets

Let us know how it goes.
