HTC One (M8) is gone

Try the z1 compact. Awesome device.

While it may be a good device, the screen is far inferior to the one in the m8. But I must say it does have some really nice features, snapdragon 800 and 20.7mp camera would be worth it alone

I guess I have small hands. My right thumb can't even reach the upper left-hand corner of my 5s' screen without adjusting my grip for that purpose.

Re: HTC One M8 is gone.

IOS 7.1 has been perfect on my 5S and mini retina.

Oh I don't doubt it, that's exactly the issue with Apple: Their updates only work for their newest and latest devices, forcing people to upgrade before their time is due or be stuck with a device that can't do half the things it's supposed to.

Re: HTC One M8 is gone.

I'm going from a 5s to the M8 and the size is the one thing that I'm worried about. It is pretty tall. Does it still fit comfortably in a front pocket?
I just went down to the Verizon store and, for me, it isn't much larger than the M7. Now when I compare my M7 to my wife's 5s or the 4s that I used prior to the M7 it will probably seem much larger.

That's 100% false. As I stated earlier, 7.1 is working great on my 2nd gen iPad. No issues at all.

Re: HTC One M8 is gone.

It's been 100% true in my case for all the Apple devices I've owned.

Really? Because with my iPhone 1, iPhone 3g, iPhone 4s, iPad 1, iPad 2 and iPad mini (non-retina) that has not been the case. Nor has there been a great outcry from the public about your issue. In fact, if anything people get upset when Apple declares that they won't support a new OS for a particular device as the experience isn't optimal. This would seem to be contrary to your experience.

Maybe you're just unlucky.

Agreed. No issues on my 4,4s,5,5s, iPad 2, or iPad 3.

Re: HTC One M8 is gone.

Maybe... I remember going to Apple because I needed good customer service since I'm a complete techtard, and in the early days, they were very good. But overtime, I got more and more problems and they went from "sure, let's see what we can do" to "oh sure, the iPhone 5 does take the IOS7 upgrade but it works so much better on the 5S" to "must be that you're using it wrong, can't help you there, sorry".

I was very happy with my 3S, which was my very first iphone. I've had a 4, a 4s and a 5. Each new device had more problems than the one before it and the customer service got worse.
So yes, perhaps I'm unlucky, but honestly, I'm much happier now (Samsung) and my Note Pro is way faster and more capable than my macbook air.

I've never had a problem with iOS updates or Apple hardware, and I've had a lot of hardware.

M8 is very tall. I notice it too when holding it and navigating. I strongly prefer the height and weight of the M7. The M7 with Sense 6 (coming this summer) is a lot more appealing to me than the M8.

Yep I would prefer the M7 form factor too. I'm still stoked to trade my 5s for the M8 though.

Far inferior? Inferior yes, but day to day, its pretty good. Good enough, lets say that. The battery life is spectacular. Fast as you could want a phone to be. If you like smaller phones, this is the one (no pun intended).

Still may pick up the M8 though. looks sweet.

I think he may be referring to my post about the z1 compact's screen being inferior to the m8. I also said it was a good device but a 720 screen is definitely inferior to a 1080 screen. Not bashing anything about the phone and your are right, it would still probably be just fine for every day use
