HTC One M8 on AT&T - Ongoing adventure

I bought an Otterbox Defender for my HTC One M8. And flipping heck does the device feel so much better in the hand! And it isn't as think as other Otterbox cases.

I took my m8 back for an s5. Don't regret it in the slightest.

Why? What about the M8 didn't you like?

My initial issue was the size and the slipperiness of the device. The Otterbox Defender solved the slipperiness issue. As for the size, I simply need to get used to it.

Funny, I took the galaxy back and am happy I did. The added features are gimmicky and the thing felt cheap as if it was made from some of my kids toys.
I did like the screen on the galaxy but the lack of memory, poor design and gimmicky features was enough for me to give the phone up.
As far as the phone being large and tough to type on, the flow or whatever you call it makes one hand use very easy. I couldn't imagine not having it.

As a matter of fact, yes. But, two things; I haven't been able to figure out (I was playing with a friends device), I want to be able to move my screens (I normally only have three) in the order I like. And, I'd love if there was an option to wake the device without pressing the power button each time. Another reason why I chose the HTC, due to gestures...

So there's still the modest sized G2 or the bigger but easy to hold Flex. Both have Knockon and a few other tricks. If the M8 was too big I expect the G Pro 2, Note 3 and coming Note 4 and G3 will not work for you either.

I'm now beginning to wonder if 'bigger' is what all manufacturers are doing.
Currently, I'm on the hunt for an Android device, and at this rate, it might be the HTC One M8, or even the LG G3. Still checking a few options, like KnockOn, and LED notification. I'm used to no home button, and LED notification due to using a BlackBerry Q10, Z10 and now Z30.

Funny how now so much thought has to be put into buying a smartphone.
Battery
Size
Display
Camera
...the list goes on. Back in the day, one would buy one within minutes and not thinking too much about it.
