HTC One M8 - Running Android Lollipop 5.0.1 - Issue

The stupid lock screen Wi-fi connected update (Connected to: "xxx") that shows every time the device connects/re-connects to a Wi-fi network is quite annoying. Does anyone know if HTC has addressed this issue, and has any plans to at least enable an option to disable this pop-up?
