HTC One M8 screen problem

[AC Question]

I got my screen on my HTC One M8 replaced when I cracked it a few weeks ago. It's been fine since. This afternoon the screen now is covered in what I can only described as rainbow coloured pixels.

I have called the phone and it rings. The green light that flashes when you have a text, missed call or email is fine. I don't think there's an issue with the phone as such.

But I can't do anything about the screen. Not sure if it's connected to the repair job - it's been fine since. Is there anything I can do?

Welcome to Android Central! Why did you need to get the screen replaced in the first place? Was it cracked, or was there water damage? Who replaced it--did you bring it to a repair shop, or did you do it yourself?
