Okay, I have searched this and so far nothing works.

I was loading some music on my phone yesterday from the computer. HTC sync manager asked to upgrade and I said okay, not really thinking about it. Apparently it was making changes to the phone because it would turn off and on during the update.

Long story short, when I check the phone, it is stuck on the bootloop HTC screen. No response from the phone. I do a soft reset and enter Recovery mode. Clear the caches and no change, still stuck. Tried everything I could find on the net and finally decided to perform a Factory Reset as the last resort. Still stuck.

I also pulled the SD card and it appeared to be corrupted, I could not read it. Finally had to reformat it.

At this point I don't know what to do, seems like the OS must be corrupted. I have messed with a lot of computers but have left my phones alone. Is there anything I can do to reload the OS back on the phone and start over?

Welcome to Android Central! Do you know if the update was interrupted at some point? Did the computer go to sleep in the middle of the update, perhaps? Interrupting a system update is never a good thing.

I was working on the computer while the update was in process. Updater had closed so I thought the update was complete.

Is there a way for me to repair the OS?

Just an update, I took the phone to a couple repair places and they could not do anything with the phone. They said the internal storage/memory was corrupted. They tried several ways to wipe the phone and install new OS but they had no luck. The small bright side is that they didn't charge me anything.

That's too bad. Well, look at the bright side--time for a new phone!:D
