HTC One M8 & Swiftkey

I used Swiftkey for a long time due to no better options. Never looked back after getting Google keyboard.

I've using SwiftKey for years and love it, maybe I need to try Google Keyboard to see if I like it better.

I've been using the stock keyboard. I really like SwiftKey, except for how it handles spaces. It's puts a space after everything.

You can control how it handles spaces. Eirther by a space or word prediction

I looked at Google keyboard after reading his post, but wasn't impressed. It might function well, but it's awfully boirng;)

I really wanted to love swift key because it is so customizable and I like the number pad and other options available. I've found that I really miss Swype though when I use it for any length of time. Swype for me anyway is just so much more accurate.

You can always use Flow with SwiftKey!

I've tried and that's why I keep going back to Swype, for me, swift key wasn't nearly as capable at getting my words correctly when flowing.

How do you do that? My biggest gripe is that it inserts a space after I tap a predicted word. If I can get it to behave like the stock keyboard or Google keyboard (i.e., no space after tapping a predicted word unless I continue typing), then I'll definitely switch back to Swift Key.

Just went through every setting in Swift Key. You can't stop the blasted spaces when tapping the predicted word.

Well it's this phone though. On my Note 3 this never happened.

I actually like the stock keyboard here...and I'm usually quick to jump to swift key

Swiftkey isn't what it used to be. I actually prefer the stock keyboard now. Predictions are much better.

lol really? it's not as if swiftkey has regressed, it's the fact that other keyboards have closed the gap, but still aren't close

I've been a Swype fan too on my current phone. It's been so long since I tried Swift Key that I don't remember what it was I didn't like about it, but I love how the paid version of Swype lets me delete stock words from the dictionary. Over time, it improved accuracy a lot because the dictionary was getting smaller as I removed obscure words I'd never heard of before, much less used. I was planning to install Swype on the M8 when I get one, but was interesting seeing how Swift Key was almost the exclusive go to keyboard with users here. It made me wonder why, because the opinions used to be more varied in other forums on here.

I may try Google keyboard... I've heard good things about it. Although SwiftKey is my favorite.
