HTC One M8s - why does it keep vibrating?

I've had the phone for a week so not 100% familiar with it yet, but;
when there are ANY unread notifications the phone keeps vibrating every few seconds...
it's got a very strong vibration so it gets really annoying
it keeps vibrating even when on silent
how can I get rid of it? while still having the vibration for new calls, messages etc
help, please?

Settings/Device/Sound/Vibration intensity

Also look for a section with Call, Email, Message. You can turn vibrations for each on or off and, if on, the number of times to repeat (once is minimum - it vibrates once then not until you get another call/message).

Hi mine is doing the same when I get a message, vibrates every 10 seconds. I dont know if I have added to problems yet but I have managed to stop the vibrating. Home screen..Pull down screen..got to settings..go to accessibility..go to system and turn OFF notification reminder. That done the job but now have to wait for next problem if any
