I read many posts online about how to fix HTC One M9 frozen situation. None of them addressed my problem. No one seemed to have a phone that freezes to the point that no possible way to power it off, restart, unlocking the phone with password, or tapping the keypads to get any response. My phone is only six months old. Now it is a piece of useless junk because it has all what I just described. Everyone who gave advice suggested power off by pressing the power key and the volume key. Mine did not respond. People also suggested to press this key for this, that key for that. My key does not do a think. I am going to throw away the phone. But I still would like to know if anyone has heard of such a situation and has a solution.

Sorry to hear about your issues. Can you give us a few more details? What were you doing when it froze? In order to force a shutdown, you typically have to press and hold Power for 10-15 seconds, maybe even longer (and certain devices require holding Power and Vol Down together for that long). If that's what you've already tried, then I would guess the phone should still be under warranty by HTC--can you contact them for warranty repair?

Did you by any chance update the Peel Smart remote app, then touch the floating icon that looked like a remote or dial pad? Many people across the forums were hit with that horrible Peel update that caused their phones to freeze. This is NOT an HTC issue.
What your describing sounds like the Peel issue.
