HTC One m9 - Screenshot not working

I am unable to take a screen shot, all buttons seem to function normally but just not in conjunction with each other.

HTC sense 7.0 and Android 6.0 one HTC One m9

I have tried all three of the items below that I could find on the internet, was wondering if anyone knew of a setting, maybe I didn't give a program correct permissions? Or is there an app I need to add for this?

1.Power and volume down does not take a screenshot
2.Power and home does not take a screenshot
3.No option available to put an icon in the quick settings menu at the top.

Welcome to Android Central! This can be a little tricky on some devices--you have to make sure you're pressing both Power and Vol Down at exactly the same time, and keep them down for about half a second. Is it possible that you're not pressing them at exactly the same time?

I don't know how I never held them down long enough, on my old phone it was almost instantaneous. Its like hold them down for one one-thousand.. . two on...*SHUTTER*

Wait, so did it work this time? Or are you saying that even when holding them down for longer, still nothing happens?
