Sensation XE 18 months old just came up No SIM Inserted, tried it in other phones still not recognised, but phone will see other SIMs - tried tape trick no result. Any ideas?

I'm on the treadmill with TMO to get this diagnosed or the phone exchanged.

Off-topic, has anyone else noticed their ONE delaminating a little bit on the top? Mine the aluminum speaker grill on the top is spreading from the white edge band a little bit. Kinda interesting.

Needless to say, the aluminum rim takes a beating.

Yep...no sim card error for me, as well. Tried the tape trick but did not work for me. I've started a service ticket with HTC. Hopefully, they will send me a replacement. Kinda sorry I didn't go with the Galaxy 4.

Try rebooting the phone without the sim in and let it sit for a few minutes.

Then fully shut the phone off and let it sit for a few minutes.

Then reinsert the sim and boot the phone, and let it sit for a few minutes.

Again, yes same issue I have with One X plus. Had AT&T provide new sim card and they did a factory reset. Within 3 weeks sim card error returned. Tried the Remove Security lock trick and that only worked for 1 week. Would consider the tape trick, but may contact HTC first. Have a co-worker experiencing the exact same issue with his brand new HTC One. How could HTC still not get it right and address issue by now. Truly pathetic. When I consulted AT&T for the third time the agent said she had never heard of the issue. Wife has the Note 2 and loves it with no problems.

No...started happening on my Sprint version about two months in....but the solution provided by earlier poster Tuan..worked for me. No problems since.

Yes, knock on wood! It started on my dna two weeks after purchasing it. It's unpredictable as to of when it happens.

I have the same problem on my AT&T two month old phone. It happens about once a week. Usually just pressing the power button cures it but occasionally I have had to reboot. One time the only way to get it back was to re-insert the SIM card

One of these days I will have to take it into AT&T

How is everyone doing this tape trick to the Sim card? I thought the HTC One was a fully sealed aluminum body.

I've just started getting this error since upgrading to 4.3 so it seems unlikely that it's a physical thing. It also seems to go away when I restart my phone. Has anyone else had a similar experience? I may try the tape trick anyway, but it seems a little counter-intuitive for my case.

Just started getting this error also (since 4.3 update). A reset fixed the problem but it came back a few days later. Again a reset fixed the problem. We will see if the error comes back.
