The One's cylindrically curved back seems designed well to be held in the hand...

How does the One perform on a flat surface? If it's lying on the desk, can acknowledge an announcement and type in a quick msg, or does it rock back and forth, rolly-polly style?

Hard to tell in the store, with the demo's attached to the security cables. :(

It does wiggle left to right a little bit if you're tapping away while it's on a flat surface. Whether or not it's bothersome will depend on how heavy a tapper you are, and how easily bothered! For me it's only really noticeable when texting, and I usually just text with phone-in-hand. For navigating around apps it doesn't bother me, but those sensitive to that sort of thing may be annoyed.

It doesn't wiggle much to be honest, shouldn't be too bothersome but thats just me, If you plan on putting a case on it then that may solve the problem anyway
