Any word on the one coming to big red? Will we ever get another nexus 4g on big red?

They wont get the One but they will supposedly get an updated DNA with front facing speakers and an ultra pixel camera.

Ugh, not interested. Did they ever even fix the issue with the DNA when it would lose its sim card connection?

FWIW, we still don't know if we're talking about the HTC One AND some sort of updated DNA, one or the other, or what ...

Well it's the One I want but if they just took a One and wrote dna on the front of it that would be fine with me!

I doubt that they'd do that though as the DNA was the "Droid" DNA and the One is NOT a Droid.

Pretty sure the one and the butterfly s are two separate phones. I see the butterfly s coming as a droid DNA maxx/plus IF it comes to Verizon.

I was up on my contract with Sprint when I got the One. If it was available on Verizon at the time I would have switched to big Red. Their LTE blows my Sprint 3G speed out of the water where I am in NJ. I am really hoping Sprint gets their LTE up and running this summer. The places where I have been able to pick it up have been very impressive, but unfortunately those places are nowhere near where I live. Luckily I can use wi-fi most of the day. I would love to be able to use LTE in the car with bluetooth with my Google Music and Amazon MP3, but Sprint streaming speeds on 3G are just god awful.

I am so sick of ATT getting every phone I want b4 VZW if VZW gets it at all. My dream would be a Nexus with great specs but I doubt VZW will ever have such a phone. The GS4 ge could be that phone but I haven't read any reviews yet. I'm willing to give up features for speed but rooted aosp roms always have flaws. I'm assuming the gs4 ge everything will work

I have great 4G in my vzw maxx hd but it's just too laggy for me. I admit to being very demanding.

VZW keeps giving hints at the One coming to their network, but it seems like it's just a teaser to keep you hoping so you won't bail to another carrier. I really have doubts VZW will ever see a One on their network, but that's my gut feeling.

I sooo got tired and fed up with VZW, never getting phones that I wanted. When everyone except VZW announced they were getting the HTC One, that was the final straw and I jumped ship to AT&T for my new carrier with my One Developer's Edition phone. VZW had their shot and, as usual, failed miserably. Prior to the One, I was still using an LG Dare, so I hang on to phones seemingly forever. I doubt I'll ever go back to VZW.

I think it would be called the "Verizon HTC LTE Droid DNA Razr Maxx/Plus HD" in a effort claim the title of worlds longest cellphone name from Sprint with the "Samsung Galaxy Epic 4G Touch"

I echo your sentiments regarding VZW almost exactly. Takes waaaaay too long for them to get any devices of interest. By the time they finally do they've been out for several months already or even years (see iPhone). Great service where I live, but always too late to the party when it comes to devices anyone wants. Eventually people come to find this unacceptable and move on.

Not knocking Verizon (okay...maybe a little) but if you're not locked into an unlimited data plan with them now - assuming you're eligible for a 22% discount from where you work - a 2GB data plan with Big Red will run you 94.60 a month, and a 4GB would be 104.60 - 107.85 depending on how they feel that month...For one line with data restrictions. You'll constantly be checking your data usage in the hopes of not going over, and if you move 3 feet to the left you might not have 4G at all. Also, their 3G speeds are slower than Sprint in my area. (which has spotty 4G anyhow) If you're on WiFi most of the time, I'd stick it out with Sprint. I switched to Verizon myself after 14 years with Sprint, spent 9 months with them and switched back to Sprint after their "update" rendered my S3 useless. I'm just trying to save you the cost of an ETF. Now that Sprint is shutting off their iDEN service, it should free up spectrum, and with the money from Softbank they should rapidly increase their LTE coverage. If not, I'm on WiFi most of the time, myself. On topic, I'm wondering how much bloatware will be installed on the phone when Verizon gets their hands on it. People complain about Sprint bloatware, but it doesn't take up as much room as Verizon's.

I'd already be on ATT but my wife has another year on her contract. On ATT I would have either purchased HTC One or GS4 GE. I'm not sure which. May well have tried both. I'm a phone nut so i don't mind paying a restocking fee if I have to.

RecDNA... My contract with VZW was up almost 3 years before I decided to jump to AT&T, all because I wanted to eventually use that $100 "new every two" credit they used to give users. I waited for 3 years past that credit was issued, in hopes a worthy phone was offered, other than an Apple. I guess I'm just overly picky tech-wise now and refused to compromise on the features I wanted in a smartphone. The HTC One fit that requirement. Don't get me wrong, I liked VZW and never had any problems with their service or support, but enough was enough in terms of patience with their phone choices. So far; best change I've made this year... no regrets... and I hated AT&T.

Sorry for diverging from the original thread topic.

How times have changed. 2 years ago VZW was number 1 in android phones. Today they have fallen all the way to fourth place. Boy how times have changed. At&t, T-Mobile, sprint, VZW wow

What is particularly pathetic about that is most admit vzw has the best reception. People are moving for more choices, lower prices, and better customer service.
