Absolutely loving my new HTC One here...traded in an HTC Rezound on Verizon for the ONE on AT&T and couldn't be happier! I have noticed on the stock calendar app for the One that most of the time the actual month written out (i.e. Jan, Feb, Mar, etc) along with the actual day of the week written out (Sun, Mon, Tues, etc) is missing. In the month view, all I see for individual months is the numerical value of the month without any names of the months (4/2013, 5/2013, etc). The same I find with the day and agenda views....no names of days just dates as I scroll through (04/21/2013, 04/22/2013, etc). The week view seems to be the only one I find that has days spelled out but it actually the one view I use least...lol. Is there any setting I'm missing to get the names of months and days to show up in month, day and agenda views? My brain seems to process names of these items quicker than the numbers and so I'm wondering if I'm missing something here....my old Rezound always had the name of the day/month in clear view....thanks in advance!

I've noticed the same.
Another issue: there is no agenda style view that spans days in a single list.

Mine works and looks fine. Months and weeks days all there.

I think the wish is for the Agenda screen to list out events for multiple dates like it used to, not single days that you need to scroll through. Or does your Agenda show events for multiple days in a list like in previous versions of Sense?

I also recently discovered the Acalendar app which suits my needs much much better than the stock app...

I have used Business Calendar by Appgenix. It gives me everything I need in a calendar.

I also use aCalendar for that very reason. It shows all my events in readable text. I've been using aCalendar for over a year. Good luck

Bumping this up.
Anyone know if it possible to view details in week view?
I use week view a lot but I just see the events and the time they take without anything more.
I thing this is done in the Google calendar App from the pictures I saw.
Isn't it possible in the stock HTC calendar?

I'm with my first Android phone and I must say I was surprised by the bad stock calendar with HTC One. You might expect not to head to Play Store first thing to get a decent Calendar for a top of a line phone 2013. Ok, enough whining for now.

Regarding showing months and days in stock calendar; It seems like it is ruled by which date settings you have chosen under Settings->Date & time. If you change to for example MON, 18 DEC 2013 this will also be used in the Calendar. What I'm still looking for is how to show what week number it is. Could it be possible that you make a calendar without the possibility to show week numbers? I'm also missing the possibility to see event text on the week view.

Seem like I have to spend a couple of days in Play store to get this phone productive.

Don't waste your time with stock calendar. I followed the recommendations by others in the thread and installed acalendar. Now I can relax a bit. The week view is fantastic and things are very intuitive. Calendar is a very important tool for me so now I'm not as keen to throw the htc out the window at the moment. Just need to fix decent e-mail client and notifications that work the way I want them to.

I have used several calendars and really like the Google calendar. It syncs with my desktop outlook.

Digical has been my favorite so far. Easy to read, many views, and the widget is nice. I'm almost tempted to actually pay to get rid of the ads!

Funny that you're asking this because this is the exact thing I wanted too. I recently switched from a Droid Inc2 to Samsung G3 and I loathe the stock calendar. I really like the HTC calendar and I'm looking for a way to get something similar to that too.
