I'm a strong proponent of making up your own mind. Strong. I chose the One because it fit what I wanted, and because folks who I trust, and who think similarly to me, had a multitude of great things to say about it.
Unfortunately, life doesn't always present an opportunity to collect first hand information. Sometimes you must trust others. To disregard that, and that's what I take from your comments (so correct me if I'm wrong), would be silly IMHO. You should use all sources available to you, then make up your mind.
And as a personal note, I'm friendly with several folks here. Not all share my interests, such as my ardent passion for the Nexus and AOSP. My friends here are not "ins," nor do I represent any AC opinion. I'm my own man and wish to be treated as such. I don't get paid by AC, HTC, whatever. I wish, because I'd be making bank, but alas.

ITS biased becase he says the design is a draw which the one clearly wins hands down
he says the screen is better because its 5 inches and then he says performance is better because is scored a bit higher on the one says the battery is better because it has a bigger capacity and removeable.
Many other things.
I think he is paidd by samsung.
There isn't anything I fundamentally disagree with in the video. However, I think the point system he used is a bit misleading.
For example, the ONE's display get '0' points where as the S4 gets '1' point. Even if you accept that bigger is better, it would make more sense to give the ONE '0.9' points and the S4 '1' points.
I think if the point system was more fine grained, the end result would be much more closer than is indicated by the 7-4 score he came up with.
I agree, I think a reasonable person watches this and takes away that the phones are very evenly matched.
Maybe when he said "WARNING: VERY BAISED" he was taking about himself...

Whining about other people whining (that's what you are doing right now) is just as bad![]()
or maybe the OP thinks the definintion of "bias" means, fair, intelligent, concise & reasonable?... cuz to me that's what that review was.
Just because someone is not blown away by the One doesn't make them biased : ) I personally thought it was ugly as all get out when i FIRST saw it, but after Alex Dobie's review i came to appreciate its outward beauty..I've alays loved HTC, but the internals of that phone just present too many compromises fo me.....However, personally (and i KNOW i am going out on a limb here...) i think the Droid DNA is HTC's finest phone yet. With its slim 5 inch form factor, full 1080p res, & beautiful waterfall edge glass, had the sides been white instead of red like the Butterfly, had the word "Droid" in its name been nowhere to be found AND had Verizon NOT not gotten its grubby little hands ANYWHERE near it, that would have been my dream phone...lol

Before you go for the snarky response check my tone and compare it to the op's. I'm not capitalizing everything with multiple exclamation points and making wild accusations. If that's your only counter argument then I'll assume I made my point.
And I make it a habit of punting out unsubstantiated claims and weak arguments. People try to sway others on hear with false information and bogus arguments and it's just not right.
If you can't take your phone narrowly losing in a review without screaming troll then just don't bother getting on the forum at all

It's better or worse depending on what you're looking for in the phone.
I for one, am looking for a phone find more use in the good speakers, better low-light capable camera and aluminum body. I don't fancy the air gestures or the eye tracking stuff that the S4 offers, so the HTC One beats the S4 easily for my personal use. You probably have different needs/uses and the features that the S4 offers, might cater to you needs better than the One. So, I don't think one phone 'beats' the other, or puts the kids to bed. It's just about what features are more important to you, when both phones are this good.
Disclaimer: I purchased an HTC One.
His video review was pretty fair - he did gave proper praise to HTC's features even though he preferred GS4.
